This compressor / limiter is essential for maintaining constant audio levels in PA systems, regardless of the dynamic range of the input signal source. It is installed between the input source and the amplifier and compresses or expands the signal to a constant level. This ensures the amplifier output does not vary greatly between low or high level signals. Typically used in live performances for vocalists and instrument groups, front of house and background music systems.
